Thoughtful reflections on perspective, connection, growth, and the hidden layers of our shared human experience. A place to pause, look again, and consider what we may have missed.
There are some song titles that make you stop and think, “Well… that sounds terrible.” 😂 “Wish You Pain” is one of them. But then you listen. Been here before and I just wanna see you grow Want you to grow ’Cause everything that matters most That’s where it goes by a different name I…
Meeting the Parts We’d Rather Hide in the Attic There are parts of ourselves we display proudly. The qualities we like being associated with. The generous parts. The patient parts. The parts that make us feel like decent human beings. And then there’s the attic. Now Playing Song: “A Symptom of Being Human”Artist: Shinedown Watch, then…
“…cut me some slack, who do you want me to be?’Cause I’m too messy, and then I’m too f’n cleanYou told me, ‘Get a job’, then you ask where the hell I’ve beenAnd I’m too perfect ’til I open my big mouthI want to be me, is that not allowed?”~ “Messy” by Lola Young Now…
Do I contradict myself?Very well then I contradict myself,(I am large, I contain multitudes.) ~ Walt Whitman, Song of Myself (1892 version) We have a strange habit of turning life into an either/or question. Before meaning, notice. Before gratitude,…

There’s something about that wording that changes the question. We tend to make a strange assumption about restoration. If something is easy, comfortable, relaxing, or enjoyable, we assume…

Hold up a quarter. One side is heads. Flip it over. The other is tails. Two different images. Two different sides. Both completely real. If I’m looking at heads and tell you what I see, I’m telling the truth. If you’re looking at tails and describe something completely different, you’re telling the truth, too. Neither…
